Senior Management

General Manager

Chris Lavoie joined GEP in February of 2011 with more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Born and raised in upstate New York, Chris moved to Utah in 2001 to work for the Sundance Resort. After 8 highly successful years, he jumped at the opportunity to join the pre-opening team of the St. Regis Deer Valley. The St. Regis celebrated a successful opening in November of 2009. While working for the St. Regis, Chris won Top Group Sales Manager for the third quarter of 2009 and was nominated for Starwood Group Sales Manager of The Year for his performance in 2010.  Chris lives in the vibrant downtown of Salt Lake City with his Great Dane, Claudia.

Account Executive

Brad Smith brings more than 8 years of event and design experience to GEP Utah. Brad has done creative and design work in the film and interior design industries including commercial set design for Toyota, Target, Wendy’s, and Old Spice.  He also worked in retail design for Macy’s, Restoration Hardware, and Giorgio Armani.
