Sports in Atlanta have become a part of the city that has grown tremendously over the last ten years.  With teams such as the Braves, Hawks, and Falcons, and by having hosted the Super Bowl, the World Series, the SEC and ACC Championships, the NCAA Final Four Tournament and the 1996 Olympic games, Atlanta has become a world-class sports city.

Georgia Tech Marching Band

GEP Atlanta brought 3,500 guests to Atlanta for an unforgettable night in the Georgia Dome, the home of the Falcons. The floor of the Dome became the arena for the evening’s activities. Guests entered the event directly onto the field and creating a special behind the scenes feel. Guests then had the unique opportunity to walk through the inflatable tunnel that the Atlanta Falcons run through at the start of every home game. Guests felt like stars as they were greeted by the incredible Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Marching Band (approximately 50 members)!

Falcon's Field Goals

Inside, guests were given custom programs as they discovered more than 50 games from six different sporting areas: football, basketball, baseball, golf, soccer and tennis. In the football area, guests got the opportunity to split the uprights by kicking field goals through the Atlanta Falcon’s uprights. In addition to these games there were virtual reality simulators and sports bar games such as billiards and foosball tables.

The highlight of the event were the actual pros! Four former professional athletes – Steve Bartkowski (NFL), Rick Barry (NBA) , Goose Gossage (MLB) and Ann Liquori (LPGA ) were available at the event to meet guests, provide photo ops and offer pointers as guests played the games. Photo stations offered guests the chance to take pictures with their co-workers that would be printed on-site with the event name and company logo.

Unique décor elements were used to enhance the environment. Half of the Dome floor was covered with the Field Turf used during Atlanta Falcons football games and the other half of the floor featured guest seating and the main stage. Guest tables were covered in primary colored linen grouped together in clusters of solid color. The buffets and guest tables featured tall balloon sculptures. The perimeter of the Dome featured colorful balloon sculptures of athletic characters and 25’ tall Fly Guys with waving arms.

Dance Band Georgia Dome

There was also a talented dance band that played on the main stage, the trained Atlanta falcon soaring through the party to its handler, a blimp flying overhead with the customized logo and a spectacular indoor fireworks display that was timed to go off during the band’s final song of the night!
