GEP’s client chose their home town of Baltimore to be the destination to hold their 150th Birthday Celebration. To kick things off into high gear, GEP transported the 1,250 guests from the Marriott Waterfront to M&T Bank Stadium by utilizing 14 motor coaches who seamlessly and swiftly lead the group across town by police escort! This was truly the highlight of the day for some guests who were astonished by the City’s welcome and VIP treatment.
Upon arrival to the stadium an authentic game-day experience was had by all. Vendors passed Cracker Jacks, peanuts, popcorn, chips, bottled soda, water and beer and after guests had a few moments to take in the sites they were ushered to their seats at the 50 yard line to begin the awards presentation.
To start things off, a marching band welcomed the group with a high-energy performance ending the act in the shape of the clients logo; this was followed by the national anthem sung by an artist who sings at many NFL games. The band then reconfigured themselves into lines standing outside of the tunnels that lead onto the field. This created a fun and festive atmosphere as award recipients and their spouses ran into place with the PA system booming out their names! Finally, the top five qualifiers entered the field on golf carts with cheerleaders and Mascots hanging on for the ride and as they exited the tunnel pyrotechnics went off with a bang!
Following the awards presentation a birthday celebration of monumental proportions was offered on the North Club Level of the stadium. The space offers spectacular views of downtown Baltimore as well as Ravens Stadium under the lights. Besides a buffet dinner, offering many ballpark and tailgate favorites, an extremely entertaining ten piece variety dance band got people on their feet and had them dancing the night away! Existing lounge furniture and company themed linens made the event festive and also relaxing. It was an extremely memorable 150th Birthday Celebration.
