GEP Washington provided ground transportation service for 1,500 guests from Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center to the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. GEP Washington aimed to provide continuous shuttling which will allow the first coach not to arrive to the venue before 7:00pm and the last coach to arrive no later than 7:15pm. A challenge was made by the client to ensure that the loading time did not exceed 28 minutes.
With the task in hand, we worked with the client and the Gaylord to provide the tools necessary to make this a success. With all loaded and just a few stragglers, we accomplished this goal in 28.3 minutes elating the client and surprising the staff at Gaylord. With 28 coaches lined up in the exhibit hall parking lot, stanchions down the loading dock ramp and professional staff, the evening was a success and ensured our place as the “Go To” DMC for this annual convention!
