Storify (for iPad) is a way to construct a social media story for your event. Have attendees post photos, videos, blog posts with hashtags dedicated to your event and sculpt your meeting’s social story. Available on both iPad and at storify.com.
Foursquare (iOS and Andriod) has been a go-to geolocation app. It makes it even easier for event planners to encourage attendees to utilize. Have sponsor booths on the show floor be check in locations and encourage the attendees to share a piece of information they learned from the booth. Share the idea with all exhibitors so they can encourage attendees to participate. At the end of the conference, run contests to see who has been to the most locations and award prizes (or just bragging rights) to the winners!
Instagram (iOS and Andriod) is an addictive app for taking photos and applying a variety of photo effects. Utilizing visuals, along with hashtags and a “photo map,” attendees can share their views of the event.
