Atlanta has long been known for a blossoming, diverse city. The art scene has followed suit. Every month, the city comes alive with a wide range of art walk offerings. Art walks allow you to explore parts of the city in a new way, take in the art and culture while enjoying a whole new hood. Here are our favorite Atlanta art walks to take in:
Studioplex is a live work loft space in the historic Old Fourth Ward district, near Downtown Atlanta. On the fourth Friday of every month, StudioPlex opens the to the public. Grab dinner at Rathbuns or a drinks at Krog Bar before touring the space for a great Friday night.
The High is one of the best art collections in the country. Partnering with the Louvre in Paris and hosting a collection from MODA in New York, the High offers art of an international caliber in a stunning space. Thursdays the museums cater to the after work crowd, staying open until 8 PM. It makes for a great outing after a day in breakout session. Also, the High Museum transforms into a beautiful event space.
Atlanta’s Westside is on fire. The highly sought after real estate is home to fresh new restaurants, old favorites and a wide variety of galleries including Astolfi Art, Atlanta Contemporary Art Center and Sandler Hudson Gallery. This walk happens Saturday afternoons, so take in a brunch at the West Egg before hitting the gallery streets.
Castleberry Hills is one of the most popular places for art galleries in Atlanta, and as a bonus, it’s also home to many dining options. After the Art Stroll Stroll stop by one of the nearby restaurants such as No Mas Cantina.
The stroll also features the Besharat Gallery, a top gallery on Peters Street, this gallery doubles as unique event space.
