Job Title: Sales Coordinator/Group Sales Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non Exempt
Reports To: VP, Sales or Natl. Sales Exec.
Region/Destination: East Coast/Boston/Remote

Position Summary:
The Sales Coordinator provides administrative and systems support to a Sales person(s). Sales Coordinator is responsible for supporting all aspects of sales and marketing efforts. The individual must deliver exemplary, accurate and timely service that defines the value of our company to our customers by assisting with site/destination selection, evaluating RFP’s and proposals. In addition, this excellent service is given to our partners by processing leads, collecting and clarifying responses. The role reports to and/or supports two managers and acts as a direct liaison between Krisam properties, GEP domestic and International DMC’s and customers. It requires the ability to be highly organized, cope well in a fast paced environment and adapt to change. It requires a self- motivated and self-managed individual who thinks independently and acts proactively. The position allows the opportunity to support managers by working remotely on Eastern Standard Time. Opportunities for success and growth would be domestic and international in the areas of meeting and event management, hotel sales or operations, and destination management services.

  • Highly organized and capable of developing efficient systems
  • Knowledgeable with Outlook, Excel and FileMaker Pro, PowerPoint, Prezzi, Microsoft applications
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret detailed instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to anticipate challenges, customer needs and act to avoid or address
  • Have a positive approach to conflict resolution and work towards mutually beneficial resolution
  • Ability to use professional discretion in communications at all times
  • Have a sense of urgency, ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, prioritizing multiple tasks and reprioritizing as necessary
  • Proactively monitor own work flow to ensure timeliness, quality and accuracy and provide timely status reports as necessary
  • Meets challenges with resourcefulness; develops innovative approaches and ideas
  • Ability to communicate comfortably within virtual teams of hotels, DMC’s, clients, supervisors and fellow employees around the globe

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret and clarify detailed documents such as RFP’s, hotel proposals and presentation summaries to customer
  • Be familiar with the Krisam Hotel portfolio as well as Global Events Partners member DMC’s
  • Compile, create and deliver customer responses
  • Ability to manage and calculate costs, sales performance tracking, expense reports
  • Assist with special events and trade shows
  • Execute site inspection planning
  • Administrative support; word processing, filing, answering phones and emails on behalf of the sales executive
  • Data entry and accurate management of company wide database
  • Organize and assist with mass mailings and marketing projects
  • Provide support coverage, training to the other office coordinators and managers whenever possible
  • Assist with office management such as printer/copier function, ordering office supplies, scheduling office appointments

Valued skills and experience:

  • College degree
  • Two years related work experience in a hotel, DMC or meeting planning capacity
  • Software mentioned above
