The Center is LEED Silver-certified and has installed state of the art features such as high efficiency irrigation systems that reduce water consumption by 56 percent; an automated system that reduces energy consumption – especially on the toasty summer days; and lastly a rooftop solar-power plant has reduced carbon-dioxide emissions by 95 metric tons. These efforts coupled with the Valley’s new MetroLight Rail – with stops at Sky Harbor International Airport and the Downtown hotels make Phoenix a shoe in for sustainability focused groups.

There are more than 60,000 hotel rooms in the Greater Phoenix area, 3,000 of which are within walking distance of the Convention Center. The latest addition to the downtown hotel inventory is the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown, with an impressive 1,000 rooms within blocks of the Center.
